Submission Call!

All submission instructions can be found HERE.  For all genres we expect a solid plot and decent character development. Series welcome, however we are not pursuing serials at this time.

We are open for submission for the following: Full-length novels between 40,000 – 100,000 words in the following genres:

Romance and Sub-genres

Erotic Romance: All heat levels, all sub-genres. M/F, M/M, Ménage, and More! We are looking for plot driven erotic romance with strong character development. Your main characters should be likable and / or redeemable.

BDSM: All heat levels, all sub-genres. Your BDSM should be written responsibly. If you would like to write BDSM, please be familiar with safe practices, expectations and consent (even dubious) and include those in your novel. The Dom/Sub relationship can exist between any blend of characters you’d like: M/M, F/F, M/F, MFM, etc. With all that being said, we are looking for strong writing, solid characters and a solid plot.

LGBTQ:  All heat levels, all sub-genres. While this can be a sub-genre to any genre, we believe this deserves its own category. Have a lesbian love affair? Two men pushing the boundaries? A bi-sexual polyandrous romance? Have a Trans who has found that one true love? YES! We want to share your story with the world.

Sweet Romance / Chick-Lit and Romantic Comedy: Low heat levels with sweet, endearing well-rounded characters. These are usually light-hearted stories.

Shifters, Angels, Demons, Vampires, Oh My! We want these too.

Mystery, Suspense & Thriller: Do you write edge-of-your-seat drama? Will you make our hearts stop when something goes bump in the night? Syn is currently seeking manuscripts in this genre.

Sci-Fi: Have you created another world, another planet, have cool technology or aliens? We want to beam you up!

Dystopia: Has the world, as we know it, come to an end? Do you have a hero overcoming the odds? Well, we’ll take those dystopian novels too.

Westerns: Gunslingers, rodeo boys with low riding Wranglers, and farm hands who just have to save that damsel in distress (or just save the day)? We absolutely love a good Western. Yee-Haw!

Syn is a royalty paying, full-service ePublisher. This means that we do not charge fees to the author at any time. We pay a royalty rate of 50%. We offer full ePublisher services from editing, copy editing, ISBN assignment and distribution to retailers. Our marketing team will assist you in spreading the word about your novel(s) as well.

Syn welcomes @HoustonHavens

Syn is proud to welcome this fantastic author, Houston Havens, to our ranks. She writes multi-genre, multi-layered Erotic Romance. We’re happy to add Houston and her Psychic Menage series to our house.

Houston Havens retired from a successful modeling career and an adventurous jet-set lifestyle to set the world on fire with her erotic romance books. A tenacious Irish lass, she strives to entertain with seductive stories created from her decadent imagination and traces of a provocative lifestyle she may or may not admit to.

Her interest in the paranormal, fascination with quantum science, passion with myths, and the lure of her mysterious Celtic Irish-Druid bloodlines are combined with generally unknown truths, strange facts, and questionable fiction. Her novels reflect a mix of the past, present, and future, with sexy blends of futuristic science fiction, paranormal fantasy, western romance, and always love everlasting.

An author of six romances, a seven book erotic romance series, and numerous articles in literary magazines, she has two award winning blogs.

What’s New & FAQ

Syn signed its first author on week one! Syn is happy to welcome Barbara Sheridan to our house. Barbara has published numerous novels and we look forward to working with her. You can visit her webpage here. We are currently re-editing her previously published book, Samurai Captive, a historical erotic piece that’s very steamy.

We are in talks with a handful of other authors who are looking at signing with Syn. We couldn’t be happier to have such a successful launch.

As a new company, we realize that there are questions, things people want to know. So we have opened up #synpub hashtag on Twitter. Anyone can submit a question on #synpub and we’ll get back with you in 140 characters or less. We are planning on having Q&A sessions, and those will be announced soon.

In the meantime, should you not wish to have your questions posted publicly, my invitation remains open to email me at Kim (at) Synpublishing (dot) com with any questions you may have. Have a submission? Please visit the Submissions tab on our website.

Happy Sweetest Day.

Press Release 10.13.14

Syn Publishing launched this week and I have to tell you, I’m touched by some of the emails that are coming in. We have received offers of support, offers to donate time to the company until we start receiving royalties, and some simply had words of support to offer.  It has been a humbling experience.

There were a few who saw our email as spam, and for that, I do apologize. It was not my intent to spam anyone by emailing an invitation to the company. We are honoring the wishes of those who have asked to have no further contact. If you were one who thought we sent spam, and have since changed your mind, all you need to do is email us to let us know you’re interested. We’re still happy to have you.

For those seeking employment with Syn, we are fully staffed for the size of our company. As Syn grows, so will our staff and we’ll keep you in mind. We are very conscientious that we need to not only be a fair publishing house, but a solvent one. One who can pay its people, tax bills, and authors in a timely manner. This means we need to be fiscally responsible so we cannot offer positions at this time.

Syn Publishing will be open to all genres of romance, erotic romance, erotica, kink, BDSM and LGBTQ, etc. We will have heat levels that range from 1 (sweet romance) to 4 (scorching hot.) Our authors will receive a royalty rate of 50%, on a two-year contract with an option to renew, without risk.

Syn, as of today, is an eBook publisher only, though we will offer assistance to authors who wish to pursue print versions of their novels.

If you’d like to submit to Syn Publishing, instructions can be located under the Submissions tab on the website.  Our Acquisitions Editor will respond to all emails in a timely fashion, but you can always contact me at Kim@SynPublishing.com.
